There’s magic in every moment in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the most awarded play in history and “one of the most defining pop culture events of the decade” (Forbes). And now, the 8th Harry Potter story is bringing the magic back to London’s West End.
19 years after Harry, Ron, and Hermione saved the wizarding world, they’re back on a most extraordinary new adventure – this time, joined by a brave new generation that has only just arrived at the legendary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Prepare for spectacular spells, a mind-blowing race through time, and an epic battle to stop mysterious forces, all while the future hangs in the balance.
This one-of-a-kind theatrical experience is packed with “thrilling theatricality and pulse-pounding storytelling” (The Hollywood Reporter). It will leave you “audibly wowed, cheering and gasping” (The Telegraph), as “visions of pure enchantment send shivers down your spine” (Rolling Stone). “It is out of this world, it’s magic, it’s a hit” (The Times).
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a new play by Jack Thorne received its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016.

MAGICAL!! A truly fabulous show which transports you back into the centre of the witch and wizarding world. Remarkable performances by the cast
View from row B seat 8. Incredible show. Highly recommend to anybody as I’ll be going to see both parts again myself
Fantastic night. Everything from the acting to the special affects was brilliant. I would definitely be back again before the show finishes.
Great and entertaining family "magic" show! The dialogue has definitely pushed towards accepting our children to become whoever they might be, even if they might differ from how we see ourselves. It is expensive, but still cheaper than Broadway in NYC!
We (a group of 3 adults & 3 children aged 9 & 11) thoroughly enjoyed The Cursed Child. The special effects were amazing as was the use of props such as staircases. The acting was also excellent. But it is an extremely long theatrical experience. We were encouraged to get to the theatre early so were there at 12.30pm and left at almost 9pm with approx 1.5 hours between parts 1 & 2 to get something to eat. Quite the marathon although definitely worth it.
Excellent show. Couldn't believe the special effects and quality of the actor's
Seats were slightly uncomfortable due to reduced leg room. Some parts of the show were performed at the front of the stage which I’d say in the balcony you couldn’t see
Good acting Amazing special effects. Too long, too expensive
2 plays unecessary so too long and boring and just raking in money for those receiving Fantastic special effects.
Good acting, fantastic magical effects but the sorting hat was a disappointment. 2 plays is far too long with too much time travel back and forth causing it to become an unfathomable and boring plot.
Bewitching performance - we were blown away by the production, story, performances and incredible special effects. Just wonderful.
spectacular stagecraft
